Baltimore Winter Restaurant Week Starts Friday

Baltimore Winter Restaurant Week kicks off this Friday, January 20, and lasts through Sunday, January 29. Take advantage of some of Baltimore's finest--and most expensive--restaurants offering three-course dinners for $30.12 or $20.12, and two-course lunches for just $15.12.

This year, cuisine options include American, Italian, French, Indian, Japanese, Mexican, Turkish, Afghan, Irish, Spanish, Mediterranean, and more, plus plenty of seafood and steak options. Whether you are trying to get a great deal on dinner or looking for an excuse to try a new restaurant (such as Blue Grass Tavern), you can eat up knowing your money will go to a good cause: This year, proceeds from the event will benefit The Journey Home, a ten-year plan to minimize homelessness, led by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

Tips for Getting the Most out of Baltimore Winter Restaurant Week

  • Make reservations early, especially at popular restaurants.
  • Take some time to read menus and reviews online.
  • To get the most bang for your buck, skip restaurants that already offer prix fixe menus.
  • Be aware that not all participating restaurants offer both lunch and dinner as part of the promotion.
  • Some restaurants extend restaurant week a few extra days or even a week, so ask before you book and you might find yourself enjoying additional deals.
