Water taxis and Segways are familiar sights around the Inner Harbor, but soon a new form of transportation will be hitting the streets of Baltimore. The Chesapeake Pedicab Company has announced they are ready to hit the road any day now, using pedal power to transport people around Federal Hill, the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, and Canton. In a press release, owner Steven Ball said the pedicabs aren't out to replace traditional modes of transportation such as cabs and buses, but instead cater to people looking for a different option. MissionTix seems to think the idea will take off, and has become the company's first official sponsor.
Would you use a pedicab to hitch a ride downtown?
